Glendale’s 4th of July WestGate Independence Day

Westgate will celebrate Independence Day.

Glendale’s Independence Day celebrations are bursting all over town this year. Feel free to add extra sparkle to the day by attending some of the city’s most popping events. If it involves patriotic celebrating, it’s here. The lineup of events commemorating the land of the free and the home of the brave for this week’s holiday is as follows:  

Westgate’s Firework Fest

Does the word fireworks spark some interest? Check out the Westgate Firework Fest. The Westgate Entertainment District invites people of all ages to its annual Fourth of July celebration. From 5 to 9:30 p.m., 6751 N. Sunset Boulevard will be a party in the USA. With 20 different restaurants to dine in, a water zone, games, activities, a plaza beer garden and upbeat music, Westgate will be red, white, and spewing with fun. 

With this said, the free festivities and free parking at Westgate will be nothing compared to the featured fireworks that will start at 9 p.m. Bring blankets and chairs for maximum comfort while watching those colors light up the sky. The Lola AZ

The Lola AZ at Westgate will be particularly lively as it hosts bands on its patio and serves a special menu item, award-winning burger, The Pit Master. The burger includes 10-hour slow-cooked pork piled on top of a 50/50 ground brisket, Angus chuck blend burger patty topped with sweet and spicy raspberry barbecue sauce, muenster cheese, cowboy candied jalapeños and a bacon aioli. 

The evening includes performances by Hillbilly Deluxe from 5 to 6:30 p.m., and The Crown Kings from 8:30 to 10 p.m. DJ Torres will spin in between sets.

Grab and Go

God bless America and God bless its food. Dave and Busters, Westgate, 9460 W. Hanna Lane, Glendale, will celebrate America’s birthday with an all-American Grab and Go celebration. Summer Band Concert Series

Celebrate the Fourth of July early by partying like a patriot at the 53rd annual Summer Band Concert Series special holiday performance on July 3. Historic Downtown Glendale, E. Lowell Amphitheatre, 58th and Glenn drives, will host the free event and they want you … to bring friends, family and neighbors to enjoy a night of entertainment. From renditions of marches, movie medleys, patriotic tunes, folk songs and polkas, the Summer Band Concert Series will be sure to deliver an all-American production. Bottle Lamp Painting Class

She is a beauty, she is grace, she is whatever people paint. Honor America by attending a  U.S.-themed bottle lamp painting class at ArTherapy for ME Paint & Sip Studio, 8190 W. Union Hills, Suite 150, Glendale. From 1 to 3:30 p.m., the studio will let people’s creative freedom ring, inviting guests to show their patriotic spirit.
