Westgate Entertainment District is celebrating Independence Day with the sixth annual Firework Fest that includes exclusive dining deals, live entertainment, family activities and Glendale’s largest fireworks display.

The festivities will take place 5 to 9:30 p.m. July 4 and guests are encouraged to take blankets or lawn chairs to relax while listening to live music, enjoying “Grab & Go” meals for the ultimate picnic and watching a fireworks display. Firework Fest is free to attend with abundant, no-cost parking in several of the surrounding lots.

This year at WaterDance Plaza, live entertainment will be provided by local bands Club Country (5 to 7 p.m.) and Crown Kings (7 to 9 p.m.) At Fountain Park, children will have a chance to cool off in the splash pad and interactive water zone and families can enjoy beats by a live DJ, dancing, games and prizes leading up to the fireworks show at 9 p.m.

All Westgate restaurants and bars will be open with regular menu offerings, as well as varying specials for Independence Day. Festivalgoers can enjoy “Grab & Go” dining deals from 5 to 9 p.m. from Bar Louie, Cold Stone Creamery, Dave & Buster’s, Good Bad Ugly Brewing Co., Fat Tuesday, Fresh Healthy Café, Hot N Juicy Crawfish, Johnny Rockets, Kabuki Japanese Restaurant, McFadden’s Restaurant and Saloon, Opa Greek Life Café and Shane’s Rib Shack.
