Shred-it and Kohl's are helping consumers fight identity theft by organizing a Community Shred campaign in support of Phoenix Children's Hospital. Community Shred events will be held for Valley Kohl's locations 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 4. A suggested donation of $5 per box and $10 for large boxes will be accepted to support Phoenix Children's Hospital. Kohl's in Glendale, 5408 W. Bell Road, Kohl's Awhatukee, Kohl's Chandler, Kohl's Avondale will all help in donating.

Shred-it, the world's leading on site information destruction company, will bring their expertise to help people take action against identity theft and fraud. Shred-it mobile shredding trucks will be on-site and community members are invited to bring all the documents they can carry for shredding.

"Kohl's is proud to help host this event for our community" says Deb Kuczora, Kohl's Vice President. "Kohl's is committed to giving back to the communities we serve. Not only are we donating the space for the events, but you will see Kohl's employees at the events helping to put the event on. We are excited that is event helps protect our community members against identify theft and fraud, but more importantly glad that the event will help support Phoenix Children's Hospital."
