The First Annual West Valley Island Cultural Festival will kick off Nov. 2 at Knights of Columbus in Glendale, 8066 N. 49th Ave.
The Island Cultural Festival celebrates Polynesian culture: music and dance performances; and classes for music, dance, and lectures. The festival will feature Arizona’s finest Polynesian music, teachers, and dance performers, offering attendees a showcase of Polynesian music and culture.
This will be the first event of its kind in the West Valley. The festival will be a one-day event with plans to have it every year, increasing it to a two-day event.
Admission is $2 per person, children 15 years and under free. A kick-starter campaign has been launched to help fund the festival. A direct link to the festival project is on the West Valley Island Cultural Festival’s website, www.wvislandculturalfest.com.
