Man allegedly shakes 2-month-old

A Glendale man was arrested and faces one count of child abuse after officers found his 2-month-old baby unresponsive July 1.
Officers arrested Alex W. Millard, 27, after he told police he tried to get his 2-month-old son to stop crying near his home near Olive and 67th avenues. Millard said his other children, ages 3 and 6, were making noise when he told them to quiet down.
The 2-month-old was in a child swing before Millard moved him to a couch and finally the playpen, before Millard allegedly shook the baby by the armpits. Millard then noticed the baby was lying down and was struggling to breathe on the couch, according to the report.
The child was taken to a local hospital where he should recover.
Millard, who allegedly told police he had been working on his anger issues, was charged with child abuse.
