There is not one good reason why close to a hundred young people should gather at a residence to “party.” With houses built so close to each other these days, there is no such thing as privacy inside or out of homes.
Police are not to blame for the recent killing of young people at these large gatherings. But they can begin to study ways to communicate with parents to do their job. Look to the home front and start emphasizing community policing in the strongest sense of the words.
