Lower-income schools have trouble finding sponsors for sports

While more successful high schools field multiple sponsors for a single sport, less affluent schools, such as IndependenceHigh School, have had trouble finding willing partners to help fund their sports teams.

AIA releases 2016 baseball and softball playoff schedule

The Arizona Interscholastic Association released the 2016 baseball and softball playoff brackets and the West Valley is well represented. All softball first-round games are 10:15 a.m. April 30.
