After winning three games last year, the Arizona Cardinals seemingly face one of the tougher schedules in their upcoming season.
According to the National Football League’s recently released 2019 season schedule, the Cardinals will face four playoff teams from last season. And with their opponents totaling a combined 129-125-2 record, the Cardinals make for the 13th toughest schedule in the NFL.
After missing the playoffs for the third consecutive season last year, the Cardinals will begin to rebuild their team this season when they open with a home game against the Detroit Lions on September 8. They will then travel to Baltimore, where they will battle the Ravens on September 15.
The Cardinals will then play one “Thursday Night Football” game on ESPN against the San Francisco 49ers at State Farm Stadium October 31.
Four of the Glendale-based team’s first six games will be at State Farm Stadium, but they will hit the road for four of the next five.
After the home schedule ends with games against the Los Angeles Rams (December 1), Pittsburgh Steelers (December 8) and Cleveland Browns (December 15), the season will wrap up with back-to-back road games at the Seattle Seahawks on December 22 and the LA Rams on December 29. The latter marks the final regular season home game for the LA Rams at Memorial Coliseum, before they move into their new stadium in 2020.
