Police seek help finding road rage shooter

A recent road rage incident led to the shooting and hospitalization of a man. Police are still searching for the suspect.

Just before 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 13, police responded to a report of shots being fired in the area of 55th Avenue and Bethany Home Road. When officers arrived, they found a male gunshot victim who was in his early 30s.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Glendale police said that the victim got into a road rage incident with the driver of a white four-door sedan. The victim was on a motorcycle when the incident occurred.

The victim stopped his motorcycle in front of the driver of the sedan, and the two were in a verbal fight. Police received information that the verbal fight became a physical fight. During that physical fight, the driver of the sedan pulled out a gun and shot the victim. The driver then drove away.

The driver of the sedan is described as male and in his late teens or early 20s. He was last seen in the white four-door sedan traveling westbound on Bethany Home Road.

Police said detectives are actively working the case, but the suspect is currently outstanding.

Anyone who witnessed the shooting or has any information that can identify this driver is asked to call the Glendale Police Department.
