February can also be called “Chocolate Month.” Glendale is inviting chocolate lovers to experience its “new flavor,” and spin on its popular festival.

This is especially true in Glendale this weekend, which is celebrating its annual Chocolate Affaire, rebranded this year as the Chocolate Experience.

The city cut the budget of the event, which will be held in the Glendale Civic Center this year. It will feature chocolatiers and confectioners, craft artisans, artistic performances, wine and chocolate pairings plus live music.

Admission and parking is free, with free shuttle rides to and from Cerreta Candy Company, for free tours. Cerreta’s is still offering its popular chocolate-pizza making activity outside, for a fee.

Event hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. The Glendale Civic Center in downtown is located at 5750 W. Glenn Drive.

The Chocolate Experience event is produced by the city of Glendale Public Facilities, Recreation and Special Events Department and sponsored by Cerreta Candy Company.
