Glendale’s Tiki-Rific Mother’s Day Celebration in Paradise will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 12 in Historic Downtown Glendale.
The tiki-themed event is designed to make mothers feel pampered and appreciated on their special day. An information booth with an event map and information will be located in the northeast corner of Murphy Park. The first 100 mothers to visit the booth will receive a lei. The celebration will include free group Hula-Hoop lessons, hosted and sponsored by merchants, as well as a tiki-themed photo station. In addition, an air-conditioned shuttle will be on hand to transport attendees throughout the downtown area.
Glendale’s downtown promotions support charities to give back to the community, and this year’s Mother’s Day charity is Blue Star Moms of the Southwest Valley. Downtown merchants will collect supplies to help the organization support military mothers. A list of needed items is available at https://www.facebook.com/HistoricGlendale/.
There is no charge to attend the event, and free parking is available in the downtown area.
The event is a Historic Downtown Glendale merchant-driven event, in partnership with Visit Glendale and the Glendale Chamber of Commerce. For more information, call Denise Quintana of Coyote Oaties at 623-939-3949 or Danica Coral of Pink House Boutique at 623-298-4766.
