A 15-year-old Anthem girl was found safe in Glendale July 30, nine days after she went missing.
On July 21 around 11:15 p.m., Kahlan Diehl took out the garbage, according to Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office. When her sister walked outside shortly afterward, she found the trash was on top of the dumpster and Kahlan was missing.
MCSO detectives “followed up on numerous leads” before finding Kahlan in Glendale, said Calbert Gillett with the MCSO.
“She is OK and was returned to her parents. A thank you to all who shared the information and submitted tips ensuring her safe return.”
Kahlan was new to Anthem but has friends in the Deer Valley High School area.
