Colby Brandt

Colby Brandt was promoted from police commander to assistant police chief.

Glendale Police Chief Chris Briggs announced Colby Brandt was promoted from police commander to assistant police chief.

Brandt has served with the Glendale Police Department for nearly 23 years.

“During Assistant Chief Brandt’s 23-year career he has continually demonstrated servant and transformational leadership,” said Briggs. 

“He instills confidence and trust not only in those who work for him, but also in our community, and his promotion will provide strength and stability in our organization for years to come.”

Brandt has been a patrol officer, property crimes detective, auto theft detective, patrol sergeant, patrol lieutenant and patrol division commander.

He has a bachelor of arts degree in public administration and a master of science in legal studies.

Prior to his service with the city of Glendale,  Brandt served as a U.S. Marine. He is married and has two children.
