On Nov. 21, the Greater Phoenix Chapter of the American Red Cross dispatched its Disaster Action Team volunteers to assist on four structure fires.
Red Cross volunteers responded to a home fire near 67th Avenue and Bethany Home Road in Glendale that displaced two adults and three children.
Less than 4 miles away, the Red Cross assisted 15 people displaced by fire from 9 units near 63rd and West Olive avenues.
Disaster volunteers also responded to a multi-family fire in Buckeye that displaced two adults and six children and a home fire in Mesa that displaced four adults and 10 children.
The Red Cross disaster action teams assess the damages and provide for the emergency needs of all those displaced.
