The Glendale Fire Department found 22 people stuck on the Desert Storm roller coaster stalled on a horizontal loop at Castles N Coasters.

The Glendale Fire Department aided the Phoenix Fire Department in rescuing 22 park attendees stuck on a roller coaster at Castles N Coasters in North Phoenix.

According to a statement, the two fire departments found, upon arrival, that the Desert Storm roller coaster stalled about 20 feet above the ground on a horizontal loop.

To rescue the riders, firefighters used a high-angle belay system to lower each rider. Each of them was fitted with a “pick-off harness” and “cinch collar.” The fire departments reported no one was injured.
