Teen ‘Hamilton’ sing-along

Don’t throw away your shot. Share your love of “Hamilton” with other Hamilfans and blow us all away in this audience-involved sing-along about everyone’s favorite founding father from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Aug. 20 in the auditorium. Teens will get a chance to be a part of the show — maybe even on stage. Parents: Please note that “Hamilton” contains some mature themes and language. You’re the best judge of what’s appropriate for your teen. For more information, call 623-930-3537.

Managing arthritis in your pet

As they get older, many pets may chase toys less enthusiastically or move more slowly, but arthritis can be a serious condition in aging pets. Learn how to tell if a pet is in pain and how alternative and complementary medicine can help manage arthritic pain, as well as surgical and medical options to treat orthopedic disease. The session is presented from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Aug. 21 in the Roadrunner Room by Stephanie Shaver, D.V.M., DACVS-SA, of Midwestern University. For more information, call 623-930-3830.

Summer Craft Series: Love Arizona string art

Crafters are invited to create a stylish wall-hanging that expresses a love for Arizona with nails and string from 6 to 8 p.m. Aug. 22 in Foothills’ Roadrunner Room. Registration is required.

Velma Teague Branch Library — 7010 N. 58th Ave.
