In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, May 5 to 9, the Helpful Valley Honda Dealers and the Guys in Blue celebrated the efforts of three deserving school teachers and role models from Mesa, Glendale, and Phoenix. Based on the teacher’s unique strengths and academic efforts, each winner was presented a $5,000 school supplies donation which included much needed technology, art supplies, reading materials and more, to help them further their high-impact helpfulness in classrooms across the Valley.
May 6, Valley Honda Dealers recognized and honored science teacher, Sidney Thomas, of Landmark Elementary School in Glendale. The school hosted a school-wide Teacher Appreciation Assembly in the school’s auditorium, and the Guys in Blue made a special presentation to Thomas, and pulled the stage curtains to reveal more than $5,000 worth of helpful new science equipment and learning materials.
“I don’t know what to say, this is amazing I couldn’t have done this alone,” Thomas said. “All of the teachers deserve to be recognized and I share this with them. This donation will benefit the students here for years to come. Thank you so much, for everything. I am so thankful.”
