Luke AFB

might be affected

Editor:

With all the chaos surrounding the budget bills now circulating in Congress, we are all facing a lot of uncertainty. Most of us do not believe any of the representatives have read the $3.5 trillion bill, so they do not know what is in it and surely the public doesn’t know.

A big concern we have about this enormous spending package is how it will affect the F-35 project at Luke Air Force Base. This is a huge economic driver in our community and in our state. Long-range plans have been made, and future sales are pending. It is vital that we know if it is to be funded. It would be worth a call to your congressperson to urge that they make sure proper funding is included. It is for all of us, not just a special interest group with high-powered lobbyists.
