Camelback Ranch

Camelback Ranch is home to the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago White Sox during Spring Training.

The 30-game schedule for Camelback Ranch-Glendale was released on Aug. 18 and will see the hometown Arizona Diamondbacks visiting the park for two games in March, including the Spring Training finale.

Camelback Ranch has been home to the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago White Sox since 2009 and will feature Cactus League baseball every day from Saturday, Feb 26, to Sunday, March 27.

“Sports are always part of bringing people together,” said Matt Slatus, Camelback Ranch president and general manager.

“They are always an escape from the happenings in the world, and we’re excited to welcome back even more normalcy.”

The Dodgers and White Sox will have separate opening days, with the 2020 wild card team hosting the Oakland Athletics on Feb. 26 and the defending World Series champions hosting the San Diego Padres on Feb. 27.

The park will welcome six other 2020 postseason teams — the Athletics, Padres, Chicago Cubs, Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Guardians and Milwaukee Brewers.

The monthlong schedule includes notable games such as a St. Patrick’s Day matchup between the Dodgers and Brewers, as well as the Guardians’ first game at Camelback Ranch with their new name on March 7.

“It’s always a gift from the baseball gods to host the Brewers on St. Patrick’s Day,” Slatus said. “We’ll make sure we’ve got green beer flowing and lots of fun for the fans that day as well.”

The White Sox are in first place in the American League Central Division, while the Dodgers sit in second place in the National League West Division but remain a clear leader in the NL wild card race.

The two host teams will play each other three times, once on Saturday, March 5; again on Thursday, March 10; and for a final time on Saturday, March 19.

“There’s a Friday where the Giants will be here, playing the Dodgers … and then the following Saturday, there’s that crosstown showdown between the Cubs and the White Sox that’s as big as it gets in baseball.”

Game times will be announced at a later date.

“We’re thrilled to welcome folks back in March to enjoy baseball in a safe atmosphere and enjoy baseball affordably. The Cactus League is really one of the premier events every year during Spring Training that makes the Valley so special,” Slatus said.
